The Australian Audio & AV Show 2011 doesn't occur on a very regular basis but we were very fortunate to have the exhibition in Melbourne this year.

The show was held on the weekend of October 21-23 and was represented by many of the local distributors and retailers with a healthy range of products that would warm the heart of any audiophile.

Secher Audio Visual staff were actively involved in two rooms.

One of which was Room 506 (Absolute Audio Vision) where Arcam and Audio Physic were both featured.

Arcam's reputation for quality AV Receivers, DVD Players and other home entertainment units is well documented.

Equally impressive are the Audio Physic speakers from Germany. 

The response we received from the many visitors was overwhelming. There seemed to be a great deal of astonishment at the performance of Audio Physic speakers. They clearly outperform more heralded names in the industry that tend to be very highly priced. The show was beneficial as visitors could go from room to room and make their own evaluations.

As for Arcam. There's not much else one can say about this British icon of electronics. You would be very hard pressed to pinpoint a product they have ever produced that was not exceptional in form let alone quality. 

The other room which we were involved in was Room 417 (National Audio Group & Absolute Hi-End).

Australian High End Speaker Designer and Manufacturer TAG - The Audio Group has recently launched their new website along with their Reference Series Speakers which premiered at the show. The entire Reference Series was on display and it did not disappoint.

Typical of the behaviour of many visitors was to come back multiple times over the weekend. Large queves were quite the norm. 

Such was the performance of the Reference Series that clearly displays the fundamentals that underpin the brand.
