Since moving to our current location in Camberwell in 1985, our store has expanded into the adjacent building, with the addition of studios for Lifestyle and Home Cinema architectural concepts. We now provide six demonstration rooms with varying acoustics, displaying one of the largest ranges of brands in Victoria.

This expansion has become possible through a growing number of satisfied clients in Victoria and interstate recognising that we are different from the average retailer. We are genuine in our desire to help clients achieve the full potential of their Hi-fi or Home Cinema system, as well as possessing the necessary expertise and variety of products. Our renowned service includes the unbiased selection of equipment, in-home quotations, problem solving and future upgrades.

The Secher Philosophy

We only recommend those models from our huge range which offer superior cost-performance, based on listening or viewing tests. (Logically, it is unlikely that one or two brands have the "best" performers right through their range of models). We do everything possible to take the stress out of the buying process. There are valid and invalid methods of comparing audio components. We can show you why most stores operate in ways which are confusing, imprecise or downright deceptive.

Listening preferences, as well as desired operational features, are very individual. Our staff will take the time to help determine the best combination of components for your particular needs. Instead of being expensive, this service will produce a far more lifelike system than one of similar cost bought from a non-specialist, whether you are on a tight budget or aspiring to State-of-the-Art.
